The Dog House are what I would describe as a ‘top tier’ training school. Their knowledge on dog grooming runs deep and is exceptionally thorough. Their ability to teach, guide and encourage me as a groomer has filled me with an abundance of confidence as I begin my journey in setting up my own dog grooming business.
They are empathetic, competent and 100% want you to succeed. I thoroughly enjoyed my time training with them and would not hesitate to recommend them to friends, family and prospect trainees.
The road to qualification isn’t easy but if you put the effort in and work hard The Dog House have your back all the way.

Really pleased with my experience at The Dog House.
Honestly, I cannot think of anything that could be improved, very friendly staff who have patience and so much knowledge, answer and demonstrate any questions about the dogs, grooms and know the breeds really well. The venue facilities are really good, bathing room can get crowded but that’s simply the business grooming side and the training grooming side, but never slow anyone down or stop anyone from working when timed correctly. Plenty of space between tables, enough tables too and a good atmosphere to work in.

I really enjoyed training at the Dog House
The two tutors had a wealth of experience and knowledge that they shared throughout the training. There was an enormous variety of dogs for us to work on and dogs that we saw come in for grooming too. I feel well prepared to start my own business with all of this training but I realise that I still have lots to learn from the different dogs that may come along, but I will be able to check out with fellow students and peers if I have any questions.

This week has been a really massive learning curve.
A brilliant course tailored to my objectives. Excellent tuition from all the staff, explaining techniques very clearly, with all the support I needed. PIppa has been extremely patient with supporting me throughout all the paperwork required, which has been quite hard work for us both, as I am not experienced with technology. I have had my eyes opened to how general dog pet care should be achieved. This week has been very enjoyable and good fun. I have a very good understanding of all the safely and professional issues that come with not only in a commercial grooming establishment. But how to maintain one’s own dog.
Thank you very much for this experience. All the information and tools purchased will enable me to carry out correct grooming techniques on my own dogs.

Wow just wow
What can I say….. Norfolk is so lucky to have such an amazing training school on its door step, being just a few miles up the road, the Dog House could be considered a competitor for my small dog groomers in Reepham. This couldn’t be any more wrong! Pippa has helped guide not only as a tutor but also as a friend! The Dog House is welcoming and equipped with all the latest equipment and Pippa is always adding to her own and other local groomers knowledge by hosting some amazing seminars and work shops! The course itself was well presented and there is endless amounts of help available through Pippa’s hard work shown in her informative fact and information sheets. The dog grooming industry itself has come under great scrutiny in the past. As an unregulated industry, untrained and un-qualified groomers setting up and causing endless problems for clients and their pets, I absolutely take my hat off to Pippa for learning what she needed to do to be able to train her students to such a high standard and helping them gain a recognised qualification, it’s thanks to Pippa and other legitimate training schools that the dog grooming industry is now positively blooming for all the right reasons!

I have learned a great deal during the 20 day course provided by The Dog House.
I was able to work on a wide variety of breeds and coat types and groom dogs from start to finish. The techniques I have learned and developed in handling and styling a dog have provided me with a solid foundation to build on during my dog grooming career. The course has also enabled me to build on the knowledge I acquired during my level 2 qualification around grooming legislation, canine health and anatomy and running a dog grooming business.

Thoroughly interesting and rewarding course…
This course has changed my life. Pip and her team have given me the confidence to start up my own business from home, doing something I feel passionate about. Pippa is extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of dog grooming and has also been helpful in giving me ongoing advice and support over the past few months whilst I am still learning ‘on the job’.
